Pre-Columbian era, Chimú culture, c. 800-1470AD, Moche Valley, Trujillo, Peru.

Fabulous axe head shaped tweezers made of copper alloy. The tweezers would have been wrapped into a mummy bundle as a tool to be needed in the afterlife. This gorgeous example features green surface patina and encrusted mineral deposits. Age-related wear. Size approx. 3,8cm x 1,8cm x 0,8cm.

Provenance: From the estate of Paul Ragnar Wedendal Sr. & Paul Wedendal Jr. Collected in the 1940's to 1950's.

    Returns and exchange will be accepted within fourteen days (14) of receipt at the purchaser’s cost to include freight and packaging. Items must be returned in the same condition as when they were shipped, and will not be accepted if damaged or altered in any way.
