Qing Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Mallet Vase
Qing dynasty, Daoguang 1821-1850, China.
Exquisite, unusual blue and white porcelain mallet vase with flat base rising to rounded shoulders and narrow tubular neck, flanked by a stylized dragon (chilong) as handle, finely hand painted to the exterior in bold washes of cobalt with a characters in lake-side a pine grove strewn, a flying crane and a bat, with craggy rocks, the rising sun emerging from billowing clouds. Unmarked. After the style of the Kangxi mallet vase, but of different propotions and with a handle and different designs. Bright cobalt blue underglaze color. Good condition. Age-related minor wear, glazing flaws and fritting. The dragon is missing one horn, otherwise intact. Size approx. 22,5cm x 11,5cm x 13,0cm.

Returns
Returns and exchange will be accepted within fourteen days (14) of receipt at the purchaser’s cost to include freight and packaging. Items must be returned in the same condition as when they were shipped, and will not be accepted if damaged or altered in any way.
