Superb Early Islamic hand-carved stone oil lamp of a weighty form with lengthy neck and narrow wick spout. The cylindrical body has a recessed fill hole surrounded by radiating chiseled grooves. The stocky handle with a hole beneath a protruding thumb rest. Incised across the exterior surfaces of the body and neck are concentric linear motifs that create broad triangular and X-form motifs. Excellent condition. Intact. Rich dark encrusted patina. Significant wear from handling and use. Size approx. 15,5cm x 5,5cm x 4,8cm.

Returns
Returns and exchange will be accepted within fourteen days (14) of receipt at the purchaser’s cost to include freight and packaging. Items must be returned in the same condition as when they were shipped, and will not be accepted if damaged or altered in any way.
