Late 19th century, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India.

Fabulous, hand carved architectual wooden panel depicts a stylized peacock. Probably a smaller fragment of a wooden temple frieze. Beautifully aged and re-painted with dark red paint over the years. Good condition. Age-related wear. Rich patina. Worm holes and fractures. Cracks in the paint. Size approx. 14,5cm x 12,0cm x 7,7cm.
