Majapahit was a Javanese Hindu-Buddhist thalassocratic empire in Southeast Asia that was based on the island of Java (modern-day Indonesia). It was one of the last major Hindu empires of the region and is considered to be one of the greatest and most powerful empires in the history of Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
Impressive Majapahit style hanging bronze oil lamp. The ovoid pan is pinched at each end and divided across the center by a barrier to form two oil reservoirs in which wicks were placed. Delicate three lobed arch decorated with undulating foliate scrolls. Moderate condition. Age-related heavy wear. Chips and dents. Decorations missing. Corrosion and green oxidization. Size approx. 11,5cm x 16,5cm x 11,5cm.

Returns
Returns and exchange will be accepted within fourteen days (14) of receipt at the purchaser’s cost to include freight and packaging. Items must be returned in the same condition as when they were shipped, and will not be accepted if damaged or altered in any way.
