Medieval to Post-Medieval, c. 1200–1600 AD, England

Exceptional set of four bronze alloy heraldic belt or harness mounts, found in England. This beautiful group showcases classic medieval and later medieval design sensibilities, including a superb triple-layered eight-petal rosette and an elegant openwork fleur-de-lis mount. Each piece displays fine workmanship, crisp contours, and an attractive aged patina.

Used historically to adorn belts, straps, and horse harnesses, mounts such as these served both decorative and symbolic purposes, marking status, affiliation, or heraldic identity. Rich in character and wonderfully preserved, this set offers a rare opportunity to acquire authentic medieval metalwork—perfect for collectors of historic ornaments, medieval artefacts, or early equestrian equipment.

Good condition. Signs of wear consistent with age and use. Missing studs. Dents and minimal corrosion. Size varies from 1,0cm to 2,6cm. Sell as a set.
