Tairona Double-Spouted Pottery Vessel
Pre-Columbian era, Tairona civilization, c.1000-1500AD, Gairaca, Santa Marta, Magdalena, Northern Colombia.
Magnificent, large burnished blackware double-spouted vessel with huge conical spouts that join at gently diagonal angles to a ovoid body. The body sits on an ovoid ring foot. An arched strap handle connects the two spouts. Vessels like this one were made specifically to be placed into tombs, perhaps filled with libations. Beautiful brown hues. Smoothed patina. Excellent condition. Age-related minimal surface wear. Intact. Rich deposits and dust. Ex-museum collection piece. Size approx. 28,5cm x 13,5cm x 21,0cm.

Returns
Returns and exchange will be accepted within fourteen days (14) of receipt at the purchaser’s cost to include freight and packaging. Items must be returned in the same condition as when they were shipped, and will not be accepted if damaged or altered in any way.
